The aim of the Golden Lion Kung Fu is to offer a world class, innovative 'Academy of Excellence' in traditional Chinese martial arts and healing techniques that is beyond comparison. The Golden Lion Academy is a long standing member of the Martial Arts Industry Association Limited (MAIA), the Australian Kung-Fu (Wu-Shu) Federation (AKWF), the Tai Chi Association of Australia (TCAA)and the Wushu and Tai Chi Practitioners Association (WTPA). The academy's instructors, employees, affiliates and members are bound by the ruling code of ethics of these organisations, including the National Code of Practice for martial arts centres and instructors of the Martial Arts Industry Association Limited. All instructors of the Golden Lion Kung Fu Academy are fully trained, accredited and recognised coaches of the Australian Government's National coaching accreditation scheme (NCAS), a programme overseen by the Australian Sports Commisssion. In addition, our instructors are also required to regularly update their coaching training, which includes specific in-house training programmes to ensure that they develop and maintain the key competencies of sport coaches and officials, and are able to provide instruction in a manner that is safe, responsible and accountable. All our Masters are graded at the level of 5th Degree (Dan) Gold Belt or higher. The Dai Sifu: Dr PIER TSUI-PO Grandmaster and Principal
46 years experience in Chinese martial arts and Chinese medical healing arts: Founder and Grandmaster of the Golden Lion Academy. He was one of the first to teach Chinese martial arts to non-Chinese when he established the Golden Lion Academy in Melbourne, Australia, in 1971 and has guided the Golden Lion Academy to its position as one of the world's leading martial and healing arts academies. His students have been highly placed in World Championships. He continues to train five Masters at the Golden Lion who are now internationally recognised in their chosen field. Those who have completed their Master's grading (4th degree Black Belt and higher) with him continue to enjoy similar successes with their own students. Trains an array of state and national kung fu champions, including members of the Australian Kung Fu and Wu Shu teams. He is regarded as the foremost authority on dim mak pressure points in the world today. He has authored several books and numerous articles on both martial arts and Chinese medicine. He is a Registered Acupuncturist and Registered Chinese Herbalist with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board, under the Chinese Medicine Registration Act 2000 He is a Fellow of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association, accredited for the clinical practice of acupuncture and moxibustion, Chinese herbal medicine and Tui Na massage. He teaches specific Chi Kung, Dao Yin and healing techniques to patients to speed their recovery from illness; and he teaches and practices dim mak healing Treats hundreds of private patients in his acupuncture and Chinese herbs clinic every month In 1995 he was awarded a doctoral degree for his work in acupuncture. In addition, he also holds a Master of Applied Science degree in Chinese herbal medicine from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University.
