Golden Lion Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Dim Mak: The Big Night

On the night of the kung fu, tai chi, chi kung and dim mak demo, we all did a wonderful job performing. We prepared for the show by putting lots of effort into practising after class, at home and at the academies.
On the night of the show I think the audience loved our performances and we raised $900.00. Not enough to change the training equipment in all three centres but we are going to change the Murrumbeena centre because Rowville has the new floor and Berwick is not too old. Some performances I enjoyed If you did not attend the show here are some highlights: Rowville Wu Shu was spectacular. The Kung Fu and Tai Chi combined routine was unique. Sue, Darlene and Anja used balance. Daniel, Malcolm and Brett showed lots of strength. Both the Si Gungs – Richard and Charles – were very impressive. Students were inspired by the Si Gungs and will want to follow their paths. Si Gung Richard’s (my Dad) punches were like thunder and he moved like lighting. Si Gung Charles’ (my Uncle) was floating in the air. His movements were smooth as silk and like running water. It was precise, clear, he made everything look easy. Like my dad, Uncle Charles was also very unique.
Overall, the kids from Berwick Centre did a wonderful job and have more room for improvement. The adults used lots of strength. Murrumbeena Dim Mak performed pressure points in a loud, strong, and impressive manner. Finally, it was a thought-provoking night. The yin and yang of martial arts were performed by my Dad, the yang, and Uncle Charles demonstrated the yin. I think the Demo was wonderful and we all did fantastically well. I hope we can create a better impression next year. You can also read about other events.
