Late for defence and early for attack

by Menoli
(Panadura, Sri Lanka)

Kung fu helped me out but this was a mere situation. My story emerged on a Friday at school when I was bullied around as always. I never did anything about it than glare at them. I knew I'll have to take action on them someday or they would continue this forever and annihilate my school education. So my story began.

To make things easier I note that I'm truly a girl. I'm always bullied around by my class mates, the boys Sachintha and his gang. I went to school as usual late for a fact and on my way to class I saw one of my friends bandaging his arm which he stated was broken by the same bullies.

I never knew they'd break arms so I asked my friend how and he said it was because when he punched me I was off balance and I slipped down the staircase and broke my arm attempting to save my head from damage.

I helped him to class and on the entrance I took a deep breath and marched right in, saying to my self I will put an end to this.

One of the gang member came out and looked at me wondering why I helped out Jake who was bullied by them. When he was about to punch him again I blocked his attack and kicked him to the ground. He fell down on the floor clutching at his ankle. Then 3 more of the gang stepped behind and was pushed by Sachintha himself to fight.

I forced my self to calm down biting my hand for immediate control and when I calmed myself down I did the back fist technique for one and another technique for the other two and eventually kicked down Sachintha flat.

That was the day they stopped doing any more pranks and the day I was called the savior of the school. That is why I am fully motivated to continue kung fu as a self defence technique.

Good work! NEW
by: Anonymous

You should be proud of your achievement of stopping that gang. I'll bet that they will forever think twice before they believe that they are invincible. And because you are a girl they may well find that women are intimidating to them. Good work and try to remember to not be afraid nor angry - for those two emotions pushed by your thoughts can slow you down or even stop you under certain circumstances.

Thank you very much. NEW

You are brave NEW

You are quite brave. I am pleased to see others who have stood up for themselves against bullies. I have taught myself KF because I do not have the money. But mine is designed for me. I am interested in KF but have been forced to design my own system as is the cycle of Martial Arts in general. I am rambling. You are a goodperson and have my praise as a martial artist.
