Martial Arts Kung Fu Masters Show October 2009

The martial arts kung fu masters of the Golden Lion Academy thank everyone who came along to make this Masters Show a very special and unforgettable night.

You were enthralled by the strength and speed of Kung Fu, the spirit of Dim Mak pressure points and the elegant grace of Tai Chi as our Masters and Instructors demonstrated their advanced skills and techniques, some never seen before.

The performances you saw can only be achieved with many years of dedicated training. I hope you were duly inspired and hope you learnt a lot from the performances. You now should use that inspiration to further improve yourself, to help you succeed in life.

To all the instructors and helpers who made the night possible, a BIG thank you. Well done! You deserve a huge hug for all your efforts. We are proud of you all.

The next show will be in the year 2011 when we celebrate Golden Lion’s 40th anniversary in Melbourne. I can’t believe it will be 40 years since I accepted my first student way back in 1971. Time flies…so we better make the most of it!

Golden Lion Celebrates Successful Year

Again this year, our Kung Fu and Tai Chi students brought home a bagful of 1st and 2nd place medals from various tournaments, including best female and male competitor.

In addition, this year saw the making of a few new black belts plus 2nd degree and 3rd degree black belts.

Two new Sifus, 4th degree Gold Belt Masters were also inducted.

This year’s achievements again show that Golden Lion has done better than any other school in Australia. This means we clearly offer you the best kung fu teachers, the best self defence programme and the best support system of any school in Victoria.
