Stance Training to Boost Your Martial Arts

Stance training to boost your martial arts is a workbook that helps you build powerful legs, excellent balance, speed and strength. This is an important and necessary skill to have when defending yourself or if you just want to improve your martial arts training.

This workbook presents the seven main fighting self defence postures used in kung fu, from beginner to advanced levels. They are the: Horse, Bow and Arrow (dragon), Cat, Crane, Crouching, Snake and Cross.

You'll find in this workbook detailed explanations of the following:

  • Breathing methods to use when training
  • Pacing- slow and fast training
  • Patterns - these are traditional sequential exercises to build strength, agility and balance
  • Therapeutic effects using specific pressure points
  • Important requirements and key points to observe
  • Daily exercises that will strengthen your lower body and abdominal muscles
  • Warm ups, Cool down and gentle stretches

A special feature of this training manual are the checklist items. Master Richard Tsui-Po goes to the trouble of giving you a check list of important points you must consider when training with each martial arts posture. This is a welcome feature for students, at a glance you can see all the key points. This makes the workbook easy to use.

There are detailed explanations with tips and special exercises on how to perform them properly.

You'll also learn:

  • Essential points for the 7 key postures to improve your balance and stability
  • traditonal patterns that cultivate internal power and agility
  • special breathing techniques that will build calmness and endurance
  • Daily exercises that develop lower body strength and flexibility
  • pressure points to activate during training to improve your health

The photos in each section show the correct posture and body placement for each technique. Each one of the pattern exercises has been broken down into easy to follow step by step using photos of Master Richard Tsui-Po demonstrating just how each movement should be done correctly.

Stance training to boost your martial arts is a valuable addition to your training. Get your copy now.
